Lots of Lovin' and a little bit of playin'

So we have had a great summer, Tyler took school off for spring and summer so we have been lucky to just hang out everyday until he goes to work at 2:30. Hayden is going to be so sad when he starts school again this fall. Here are a few fun things from our summer!

We have had a great summer but we are ready to bring on the FALL. This is my most favorite time of year!

Growing like Crazy

So It's been quite a while since I have posted. Here is a little update of our sweet Ellery.

This is her 3 months.

Ellery is seriously the sweetest little girl ever. When Ellery was about 4 weeks old she started to get really Colicky. Hayden went through this same thing only his only lasted about a week. Ellery's continued for quite some time, after about 8 weeks of extreme colic we had tried several different things that were supposed to help (they didn't) we had several people suggest a Chiropractor. I was terrified to take her, so it took 3 different people recommending it and 4 straight days of non stop crying for me to finally cave. I took her in when she was just over 3 months old. Let me just tell you it was life changing!!! Ever since we started going to the Chiropractor she has been the BEST little girl ever. She still loves to be held but is usually pretty content sitting with toys (until her brother pushes her over or sits on her head)

She is very dramatic, but it's just her little girly personality. She can roll from her back to her tummy, only over her left shoulder. She can sit up and get to her tummy from a sitting position. She has recently started rolling over in her bed at night which wakes her up because she can't get back to her back. She had been sleeping through the night since she was 4 months old which has been heaven until this little rolling phase. She has beautiful blue eyes and everyone asks if they are truely as blue as they are in pictures and yes yes they are! We are hoping they will stay that blue but not counting on it. She is super stingy with her laughs, so if you can get her to laugh you are amazingly funny! Brother can always get her to laugh even just looking at her, she thinks he is the funniest person ever! (which he usually is) She is a little talker she just babbles all day long and if she gets bored or no one is paying attention to her she makes funny noises with her tongue. She hates to wear bows but has to put up with it because mommy makes her (unless were at home) She has been such a joy to have in our home! I'm not sure what we did before she arrived. Such a sweet girl

8 week shots

Well again it's been another 5 weeks since I last posted. Ellery is growing like a weed. We had her two month apt on March 18. She weighed 9 lbs 11 oz, 25%, she was 22 1/4 inches long 50% and her head circum. was 37 cm 15%. She is finding her voice, she loves to talk and smile. She definitely knows who her mommy is. She thinks Hayden is so funny. she is still sleeping really great, she sleeps a lot of the day still and only wakes up once a night! She is definitely a little princess. We seriously can't stop lovin on her! She is always being kissed!!

Other important things, we blessed her on March 3, 2013 (6 weeks old). A couple months before she was born I thought it would be neat if she was blessed in my blessing dress so I dug through my mom's stuff and found it! It had a bunch of yellowing on the sleeves and a little bit on the front of the dress. I was luckily able to get that all out so we were able to use the dress!! So neat. She did so good throughout her entire blessing and Tyler gave her a perfect blessing! I am so lucky to have a worthy priesthood holder! The day was perfect we had lots of family that was able to make it and it was so special to have everyone there!

Wow How Time Flies

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already... Our little girl is still the the most darling little thing ever. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz and 20.5 in long at her 2 week apt. She is definitely getting bigger. When we took her home from the hospital she weighed 6lbs 12oz, so we can definitely tell she is filling out. She does not like her arms wrapped up when she sleeps (sometimes I can get away with it).

She hates having people touch or hold her hands, she jerks them away when you try.
Her hands are almost always open, and she rests them in funny positions on her face very daintily * not sure if that's a word.
She doesn't like to take her binki but we still give it to her and sort of hold it in her mouth and eventually she will take it.. But she will only take the Nuk ones and no others.
She takes bottles when needed, although not very willingly.
She gets hiccups ALL the time.
She is becoming more alert and will follow your face when you move.
She LOVES to be held, and can tell when she isn't being held.
She is starting to lift her head more and more.
She does pretty good with tummy time. She sort of just lays there.
