Happy Happy Birthday Hayden Bug, happy days will come to you all year, if I had a wish then it would be a happy happy birthday to you from me! We celebrated Hayden's first birthday on Wed, December 28, 2011 with family. Grandma Lori flew in from San D. to celebrate in the festivities and it was so much fun to have her here with us! Hayden was so excited to see her he ran and gave her a big hug. We had an Elmo party and let little man open presents and we had pizza and cake and ice cream! I made his Elmo cakes which I thought turned out pretty cute considering they were free handed. He loved eating his cake and thought it was divine. He kept saying mmm mmm mmm. We might have to start celebrating his birthday in July or at his half birthday though. I think he was slightly exhausted from opening presents. He wanted nothing to do with it because his "friends" Lincoln and Emmett got to play with the presents he opened and he was starting to get angry because we made him keep opening presents. It was a really fun night and we are so thankful for the wonderful family that came and celebrated with us! Hayd was also so grateful to the great grandparents that sent cards, it's in a piggy bank!

When we took Hayd home that first week I never thought we would be here. I think back and realize how fast this last year has gone. Up in the middle of the night with my one week old by myself and him projectile vomiting, crying for hours at 2:00 a.m.(both of us), 4 feedings a night, blowouts every time he went to the bathroom, waking up in a panic and feeling beneath his nose to make sure he was still breathing. Those are some of the things I don't miss, that felt like forever. When people ask me how old he is and I respond he is one, after my response my direct thought is "Holy Crap I have a one year old." He is no longer my sweet, quiet, solemn little man. He has more energy than I know what to do with. His little personality has begun to blossom again and he is quite the character. He loves to yell at you when you don't do what he wants or you aren't paying enough attention to him. He thinks it's hilarious when you bite him, and he will continue to shove his fingers in your mouth until you do and then he just cracks up, because it's so hilarious. He is very sweet, he loves to give "loves" and "kisses". He will run to you and wrap his arms around your neck and then give you a big kiss! If he really wants a kiss when I'm holding him he will put his hands on either side of my face and turn me toward him and kiss me. He is such a smart little stinker, he tries to repeat what you say and sometimes he actually says what you do, he can climb up and go down the stairs like a pro and thinks it's the funnest thing in the world to run as fast as he can away from me up the stairs and turn around to make sure I'm following and then bust up laughing on the stairs and kick it into high gear so I can't get to him. He won't sleep anywhere but his crib, he has started loving his binki and he can say nana, mama, papa, dada, baba, cracker, no, ouch, uh oh (which is his favorite), ruff ruff, doggie, and several others occasionally. I am so thankful for my little maniac and I love being his mommy. My heart melts every time he hugs/kisses me, says mama/dada, runs and giggles. He cracks me up constantly, with his cheesy smiles and squinty faces. I love him with all my heart and I'm so glad that I get to call myself his momma.

Well here we are at the end of November, I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving. We have been having a blast with Hayden this month. He is such a big boy now it's ridiculous. He thinks he can do whatever he wants and well... he pretty much can. He climbs up things onto couches and chairs, up the stairs, opens cupboards, says mama, dada, nana, mm baba, du (which means duck) and he is walking so well. He had a walker that is a train and you can put blocks in and it shoots them out and he knows how to do it and loves it! He will push the train over and climb up on the couch... super scary. He is a great copycat, if you do something he has to try it. He can climb in and out of the tub and is obsessed with the toilet...EWW GROSS hayd can't you think of a better thing to play with? The other night he put his tub octopus in the toilet and was swirling him around..so nasty. He has recently been in love with his blankies, he rubs them on his face and today was pulling them around everywhere he went while holding it to his face. It has been so super sad, the past week little man has had croup and it's so awful. He is so miserable and the only thing we can do is give him ibuprofin (which he hates). We took him to the doctor and they gave him a steroid shot to help keep his lungs from swelling too much for him to breath. I feel so sad for my little baby, and there isn't anything I can do for him :( A sick baby is the worst.

Well I'm finally blogging from the past couple of weeks. Halloween was a blast, we had our annual family Halloween party this year but added a little more fun. We all had to dress up which was awesome seeing everyone's costumes, and then Nicole and Kelsey planned a couple of fun little games for us to play. We had delicious food, some of it looked quite disgusting, like the Jello Worms that Kelsey made. My mom was in charge of desserts and made some very gruesome sweet treats, eyeball oreo balls, finger cookies, and candy corn rice krispies. Hayden sure enjoyed Halloween also, we took him trick or treating to a few houses and he loved the treats!

Oh my goodness, tonight was the night. This last week Hayden took about 3 steps but that was it no more. Well tonight we went trick or treating and then came home, gave him a little treat, he was so excited that he let go of the couch and walked to my mom on the other couch! he has been letting go of furniture and just taking off. So I decided to see if I could get it on video! Here it is but you will just have to turn your head sideways! I can't believe my 10 month old is WALKING. He is definitely going to be a handful! He wants to go REALLY fast but gets ahead of himself and falls over. He is a crazy little boy. We sure love you Hayden Bug, what a GREAT 1st Halloween.

Well yes it's true my little boy is growing up.. sigh. He is almost walking and will be 10 months old this upcoming friday. He can stand on his own with no support and as of today took 3 steps! Way to go little man. He can play patty cake and it's the most adorable thing in the world! He knows what bye bye is, or at least when I say wave bye bye or hello he waves. He is becoming a mommy's boy and has started to act more shy around strangers, although he still smiles and flirts with them. This is going to be his first halloween and I am very excited. We went to the pumpkin patch the other day and he just loved the pumpkins. They gave us a free one for Hayd and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. (yes it was a mini pumpkin) He currently does not take naps well anywhere but in his crib. He loves yogurt and anything he can find off the floor (i'm tempted to put all his food on the floor and let him eat it off there) He hasn't been the best eater lately, well with fruits and veggies. We have been feeding him what we eat instead of baby food and he isn't liking it. I have started pureeing his fruits and veggies and experimenting with different spices. So far for the most part it has been a success. Beware of lots of pictures.

First Snowfall

Well it's true, it snowed yesterday and it was awesome! I am so ready for this kind of weather to sit next to the fire wrapped up in a blanket with some hot chocolate. I am also so excited to see what Hayden thinks of the snow! I also love this season because it has a few of my favorite Holidays, Halloween, Christmas and now my baby's first birthday, HOORAY! So many firsts are coming for little man and I can't wait! Well when I saw it was snowing we put on Hayden's heavy jacket and hat and we went outside to feel the snow and take a picture! He LOVED the snow, he had a huge smile on his face the entire time we were outside and he kept putting his hands out to feel the snowflakes and he would catch one and open and close his hand a few times till it melted so adorable! He also kept looking around everywhere, he would look in front then hurry and turn around and get another huge grin and turn again and once again a huge grin and he kept looking up to see what was touching him! It was so much fun the 5 min we were outside. I also put his hands in the snowfall that had landed on the bushes he loved it! So much fun we had a blast! Also yesterday I put elmo on for him for some quiet time and I set him in his car seat and tilted it upright and he just sat there lounged with arms folded and watched the entire elmo! How did I get such a good baby?

Good Morning

So, hayden ate spaghetti for the first time on conference sunday and he LOVED it! He was a huge mess and it was adorable. He ate two little plate fulls and loved every bit of it! We have started feeding him mostly people food now instead of the nasty baby food and he loves most all the food we feed him. We have had a little trouble getting him to like different fruits but i'm thinking it's because they have a way different texture than baby food fruits. Also for the first time same day he sucked out of a straw hooray! He still is in love with his baba though, and still gets super excited when he sees it! We bought hayden some halloween jammies and I just think they are the cutest so naturally we had to take a picture. Yes they do glow in the dark and it is so awesome! We love halloween time. Also the hat that he is wearing I saw at wal mart yesterday and it was freezing outside so I just had to buy it because it was so dang cute! And yes to answer all the questions... he does keep it on most of the time, I think he forgets it is on after a minute and just lets it be and it is so adorable!

9 Months

Here we are another month has come and gone again. Hayden is getting to such a fun age. He learned so much this month and is still just as sweet as ever. He has started clapping his hands and loves it! He can now wave bye bye and will wave at anyone he sees. He has started bear crawling (on hands and feet instead of knees) Loves to play with toys and is a human vaccume. He loves to pull open drawers and cupboards. He likes to play the game, ( 52 toy pick up where he drops the toy 52 times and you pick it up each and every time.) He loves popsicles, although they get everywhere! He can now copy things that you do. He has been putting the phone up to his ear, and when you clap he claps, when you wave he will wave. He follows really well, until he gets distracted. We sure love our little Hayden Bug

This last weekend we had quite the adventure! Tyler's family flew into town and his mom rented a van and we all piled in and drove to Blackfoot Idaho. Wow was it quite the drive or what? About 30 min into our drive Hayden started throwing up in his car seat, no not spit up, TROW UP! Oh boy, hurry tyler pull over Baby is throwing up, so off to the side of the road we undress baby and try to clean up but there was too much. We hurried to a gas station off the next exit, meanwhile while driving to the next exit I'm holding baby and he has his head on my chest and all of a sudden more THROW UP ahhh all over me literally. So at the gas station we go in taking our suitcase and change me and the babes take wipe bathes and head back to the car. While cleaning out the car seat holding baby outside again projectile VOMITING, oh my goodness baby are you ok? And still after the vomit smiles, really who smiles after throwing up? Well back in the car on our way only a few little throw ups nothing that couldn't be cleaned in the car, we finally make it to Blackfoot after a 4 hour drive to Blackfoot from Salt Lake City which is usually only maybe 3 at the most we make it at 1:30. All exhausted. What a beginning to a vacation!

Well we hung out had some fun and played on Friday and then Saturday we headed to Yellowstone park! It was so neat, it was mine and Hayden's first time and was so awesome. While eating lunch in a little park what do you know a bison walks right through the picnic area at most 10-15 ft from everyone that was there. Of course we all jumped up to go take pictures! After all the excitement, we decided to head up to see the geyser's and make the loop. Well while on our way again I'm holding baby when what do ya know the two of us are once again soaked with baby vomit, yum! We thought all was good because baby was fine on friday, well apparently we were wrong. We reach the first geyser and I quickly change in the car from head to toe. We are back in business. We saw some amazing things and really had a blast, aside from all the vomiting! Hayden was still his happy little self which made it really hard to be upset that we had to change clothes so many times. I sure love my little boy and coulen't help but feel so helpless this weekend when I coulen't do much to make him feel better. We had a fun trip thank you Lori.

8 months

Here is our monthly update about Hayden! He is 8 months old, this time last year we were about to find out that we were going to have a precious little boy! Now this year we have our precious little boy who is definitely teething right now, and is so mischievous. He is going to be a handful when he gets a little bit older. When the house goes quiet i know exactly where he is...the STAIRS. We have been trying to teach him how to go back down the stairs seeing as that is his favorite place to play. He gets really upset when we eat food in front of him even if he has just eaten. His hair is growing in a little bit more each day. His favorites right now are books, balls, and his bath sponge you get from the hospital. He loves to pull all of daddy's xbox games off the shelf, push things across the floor like boxes, remotes, and balls. He loves to talk and is an amazing crawler going on 2 months now! He chooses everything that isn't a toy over his toys, like remotes, movies, Cd's, pictures, plastic wrappers, paper etc etc. He is slightly like a puppy dog and eats whatever he finds off the floor. (GROSS i know) He is loving graham crackers, cookies anything that tastes better than baby food. He still loves to be in the water and outside. Going for walks and playing in the grass. He thinks the little girls at church are cute and definitely shows off his cute side to them. Also he can say mama, dada, baba not necessarily on purpose but we think he knows! He also thinks his cousin lincoln is the funniest person in the WORLD! Lincoln can always no matter what make Hayden laugh hysterically. We sure love our little Hayd who isn't so little anymore.

22 I am getting so OLD

I can't believe that I am 22, sometimes it still seems like I am 16 just bigger and with a baby and husband. Where did the time go? I had a good birthday, homemade Chinese food, and my favorite chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake! So delicious, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and presesnts! It was a great day and so much fun to have Hayden here this year to celebrate with us. He wasn't really sure what was going on. We went to Nickel Cade as a family Saturday afternoon, and then Tyler and I went on a date that night and left Hayd with my sister.

We also this past week went to the zoo with my sister and two nephews. It was so much fun, we got to ride the train, the carousel and watch an elephant show! Who knew that elephants could do awesome tricks? Not me.

So Hayd has the nicest nana and papa ever. Nana and papa went to Yellowstone a couple weekends ago and while they were there they got Hayd these super cute Jamies I think that he looks like a Gerber baby when he wears them. He is seriously the most adorable little boy ever. When I was pregnant I was so scared that he wasn't going to be cute, but boy was I wrong. We aren't really sure where he came from. He has the most melting BLUE eyes in the world, when he gets bigger it's going to be hard to tell his little face no. I have had so many compliments on what a good baby he is and it's true he is seriuosly the best baby ever. Tyler and I are way scared to even think about more babies because Hayd is so good. Although we have been going through a bit of a rough patch at nights lately but hopefully he will get over that soon!

We went to Hee Haws on Friday night and it was fun! Hayden go to ride a pony and we all went on a Hay ride and we got to feed some animals!

Last night Hayd climbed up one of the stairs, I honestly don't know how he knows how to do these things already. It's insane he thinks he is such a big boy.

7 Months can you belive it!

So Hayd turned 7 months yesterday. My little boy is almost not a little boy anymore he will be one in less than half a year. This is going to be a little bit of a longer post so please forgive me, it's been a while. Alright so new things this month:

Crawling
saying things like mama dada and baba altough he doesn't know he says them
pulling himself from crawling to a standing position up to things such as couches,tv's ...
Loves books, especially That's not my lion, my little lovebug and This is my monster
Goes crazy in the tub
Loves food-Still, Although we are figuring out he has been having food allergies-we think pears so far
Loves attention-and especially being held he clings
Loves to play with cords
Can Roar like a Lion
He learned how to SCREAM (not a fun one) he pulls it out when he really wants something
Has finally started liking his binkie
He has been teething the last few weeks and is drooling constantly(still no teeth have popped through yet)
He is quite the busy body
Loves to play be outside and go for walks
Also He can give kisses! We sure love kisses

Alright well on the 15th of this month we went to Idaho Falls for my cousins wedding and were able to see grandparents!! Here is Hayd with the Grandparents

Almost done, For Pioneer Day we made a trip down to So. Cali to visit Grandma Lori- Lori has only seen hayden twice and so we figured we would take an extra day off work and take Hayd to see his Grandma. It was his first REALLY long car ride- and boy was it long. Although worth it for Lori to get to spend some time with baby. We had fun we hung out visited family got a pedicure and relaxed! Hayd also got to see his GREAT Grandma Storrs for the very first time and meet all of his GREAT Aunts and boy are they OLD only in their 20's and 30's haha.

We had a lot of fun and were sad we had to come home.

This cute little MONSTER is what I found yesterday morning.

He turned and saw me and this is the face I got!! He was just sitting in his crib pulled off the bumper pads, and was talking to himself. oh and I forgot he was half undressed?! What how the heck he had unbuttoned all of his jammies except 3 buttons! Crazy little boy. How can you not love that face!

And these two faces how can you not just love him and feel so horrible when he pulls these faces!! He wanted MORE food!

The past little while and some...

Well it's been a while since I last updated and so much has happened just within the past two weeks. First of all it was the 4th of July!! On Saturday July 2nd we went to the balloons in Provo it was so fun even though we had to wake up super early. Also on Saturday was my nephew Emmett's 1st birthday. We had a little party for him, so fun! We also purchased some aerial fireworks and lit them that night it was awesome. Monday July 4th we went to my parents for a brunch and had homemade pretzels, cinnamon rolls, and breakfast casserole. We hung out there all day played games and just relaxed. That evening we went to the Pleasant Grove city fireworks, they were AMAZING!! Hayden slept right through them without even flinching, and then got moved from stroller to car seat(still asleep) and then from car seat to crib(still asleep) and slept until the next morning.

Next on the agenda is HAYDEN IS CRAWLING EVERYWHERE!!!! We knew it would be soon because he has been trying for quite a while and he was oh so close. He started really crawling on July 3rd. He is seriously everywhere. He pulls things off of shelves and grabs everything that is on the floor he can get where ever he wants. He also this week has learned how to get tummy to sitting, such a smart and ambitious little boy. So stinkin curious.

So this is the funniest video of ALL time. It was at Emmett's party, the bigger kiddos were playing with balloons and Hayd was just laughing hysterically for like 15 min. It was too funny not to record. (note the recording is HORRID) but so cute of little bug.

This video was taken this evening. And Yes Tyler is on the phone. I didn't notice until I was watching all of my recorded videos! He is getting so good at crawling.

6 Months

Hayden is 6 months old and I can hardly believe it! He is such a cute little stinker! He is everywhere now, scooting, sometimes crawling (not great crawling) but he is always up on his hands and knees trying to get places. He has also recently learned how to get from sitting to his tummy without falling over! He loves to listen to books, and look at the pictures. He is loving being able to eat more than just a bottle, and is loving his baby foo, he will eat ANYTHING we feed him. He just figured out that he has two things that poke off the side of his head, aka..ears, and he loves them. He has also recently picked up screaming at us when he wants attention, or when he wants something. He is starting to realize when we leave him although he is still great going to other people. He HATES waving his arms, if I wave one he will quickly pull it tight against his chest and grab it with his other arm and hold it until I let go. He isn't very loose, he doesn't like to raise his arms in the air or flail them around when someone else does it. He is a silly boy. He loves swimming, and being outside! He is such a little ham and we just love him so much.

Lehi Parades

My sister's family lives in Lehi so we were able to go to Lehi's celebrations as well! We went to the Horse Parade on Thursday night and then we went to the mini parade on friday night! So fun, yes the horse parade is a parade only of horses well and people! The mini parade is miniature floats that each ward puts together, they have a theme every year and they do a float according to that theme.

So I have started working basically full time well...it's 3-4 days a week for about 6 hours a day so not necessarily full time but yes. Today was the first day of this little 1 1/2 month's of full time working, i'm exhausted. Working is so much harder than taking care of my sweet boy. I missed him so much today I don't know if i'm going to last! He was asleep when I left and asleep when I came home... i'm not so sure about this.. I want him to be awake so that I can play with him. I don't know how mommies leave after 6 weeks of maternity leave. That is all I really have to share.

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day, this year it brings a whole new meaning to our little family. It was Tyler's first with Hayden. Happy Father's Day Tyler. You are an amazing daddy and Hayden sure loves you so much. You make him smile the best out of anyone and you can always get him to giggle. He loves it when you spend time with him and make him laugh uncontrollably, even if it gives him the hiccups it's still funny to him and he continues to laugh. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help raise my little Hayden than tyler he is so amazing. I love you Ty.

I couldn't have asked for a better dad, he is such an example to me spiritually, physically,mentally(smart). He is overall one of the best men you will meet in your lifetime. He has such a strong spirit about him, someday I hope I can only be half the person that he is. I love you so much daddy.

Strawberry Days

This morning Hayden and I went to the Strawberry Days parade with my sisters and my brother in law and two little nephews! It was so much fun, I love summer for this reason; parades, rodeo's,and fun! We saw lots of cool things, got lots of coupons and cheered as usualy for the marching bands. ( for those of you who don't know why we would cheer for the marching bands..both my sisters were in them. Nicole played the flute in the pg band and Kelsey also played the flute for the American Fork band.) Yes we are a family full of band nerds, although I could never have done marching band..too hard for me, you would never believe how hard they work. Anyway back to subject the parade was so fun Hayden loved the noise at first but as we got further along he started getting tired/hungry and when the firetruck would pass or loud noises would occur he would SCREAM. What a great way to start off the summer. We celebrated Strawberry Days quite a bit this week. We started off with the concert in the park and strawberries and cream tues. night, then wednesday the baby contest(just for fun), then today the parade!

Also today Tyler and I were able to go see MaMa Mia on BROADWAY up in SLC, with my family. It was a great play, great music, and funny, although very RISQUE(sp?) I LOVED the music, ABBA is just grand! I sat there singing to myself the entire time! We went to the Cheesecake Factory afterward and enjoyed the delicious food and Cheesecake. Tyler's favorite is the RED VELVET, and mine is the ADAMS PEANUT BUTTER CUP, very delightful! What a GREAT day, we are definitely tuckered out.

Mission

Why is it that sending someone that is so close to you on a mission is so hard? I have a lot of feelings tonight and I just needed to let out a few emotions. My brother Alex was set apart as an Elder tonight, he reports to the MTC tomorrow at 1:30 P.M. I have done really well until tonight, I haven't cried or felt sad only happiness and excitement for him. Tonight was the realization of the 2 year. Tyler will not get to see him tomorrow before he leaves so tonight was GOODBYE for 2 years for the two of them...while watching Tyler hug and wish him luck reality hit...HARD. Two years is such a long time, Hayden will be 2 1/2 by the time Elder Alex Ward gets home and we will more than likely have another little one roaming our home. I do not want to say goodbye for two years, I want to say goodnight I will see you tomorrow I love you. Yesterday my sister told her little boy Lincoln that by the time uncle Al gets home he will be 5 years old. So today he says to his mom, "mommy am I 5 today so that Al will come home... He an Al are the best of friends. Lincoln I wish you were 5 today so that Al would be coming home instead of leaving. Well tonight I can say Goodnight Al I love you and I will see you tomorrow, although this is the last time that I will be able to say that for two years. You are going to make an amazing missionary and I am so proud of you. You are a wonderful example to me. I love you so much and am so excited for you. I will try to be happy and not shed anymore tears of sadness, only happy tears! I love you - Love Megan

This past saturday was Hayden's 5 month birthday!! We have been so blessed to have him in our family. He is the sweetest little boy in the entire world. He has recently learned how to roll from his tummy to his back and is loving life on his tummy (so much more to see from that angle I guess) He is the happiest little squish I have ever met. He is loving Rice Cereal and actually gets excited when he sees it! He loves loves loves food. When daddy comes home from work everyday he gets the biggest grin and arms and legs flail everywhere! He sure loves his daddy. He does really well with people, doesn't cry when strangers hold him and LOVES to WATCH people. He is still an exact replica of his daddy for sure. He has elastic band thighs, ankles and wrists and we just love it. He loves to be SCARED, for instance when someone pops out of nowhere and says booga wooga or screams or says BOO he thinks it is the funniest thing ing the world. He loves to be tipped upside down it is the funnest ever! He loves to grab cheeks, arms, necks, anywhere he can grab skin and pinch... ouch! He won't wear socks for more than maybe 1 minute after I put them on he pulls them off. He likes to see himself in mirrors, and loves being outside.

I'M PREGNANT!!!!! WHAT??!?!

Totally Kidding, I think I would not be excited about that. The reason for the beginning of this post was because I keep finding out everyone is pregnant. No joke. But for real this time, at work on tuesday at staff meeting, my boss was telling us about CASH. He was saying that we need to give CASH to patients. CASH stands for Compliment, Ask Questions, Smile, Hello. So we are sitting in our meeting and has a few people give CASH to other assistants, well after they finished; he pulled out a wad of $100 bills. He said alright now take one and pass them around, well everyone was freaking out and then we sent them back to him. And he flips through the rest and says alright take another and pass them around again!!!! WHAT are you SERIOUS????? So afterward everyone was screaming and freaking out he says alright now look outside and so we all look through the blinds outside and there were 2 LIMOS parked in the parking lot. NO WAY!!!! So for the rest of our 2 hour lunch break he said the Limos were going to take us to the Mall to go shopping. The only stipulations were that you could NOT spend it on anyone but yourself. So Amazing. So I have a shoe fettish and I haven't been able to buy many pairs of shoes lately so that is what I got. I got 3 pair from FOREVER YOUNG, a pair of TOMS, and a pair of BUCKLE Jeans. So far I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the TOMS, they are seriously the most comfy shoes in the world. Thank you so much Dr. Graf your the BEST !!!

Rolling

So friday May 20 Hayden rolled over from his back to his tummy a couple of times!! We couldn't believe it so excited he has been so close for a little while but couldn't get that little leg over. He doesn't roll around or even all the time but he is getting better at it when he wants something he will roll over. This morning as Hayden was bathing he started to roll over and he tried it 3 times before he realized that his face was going to go half way under the water each time. Maybe the bath isn't the greatest place to roll over. Also Yesterday Sunday the 22 was my brother Alex's Farewell talk, he did an amazing job and is going to make one heck of a missionary. He is going to Farmington, New Mexico and will mainly be on the Indian Reservations. He leaves June 8th and I am so proud of him. It still doesn't seem like he is old enough to go but he is quite the young man. I love you al.

So tonight my cute little nephews came over to play while mommy and daddy went out. It was so fun having them here. They are so sweet. Lincoln is super smart and talks very well. Tonight he said to me; meme your my 2nd best friend, kelsey is my first best friend. And then he says as he hides his face, fire trucks make me nervous! How the heck does he know that word; nervous? Way to go nicole and craig for raising such a smart little boy.

He loves to stand up. He thinks he is so big. Also tonight my little squirt rolled over from back to tummy a couple of times. Tyler had laid him on the floor on his back and I was playing with Lincoln and Emmett and Ty looked over and was all "oh my gosh, he just rolled over I didn't set him on his tummy" so what do I do since I missed it, I rolled him back over to his back to see if he would do it again and sure enough a minute later he rolled right back over and we still didn't get it on camera. I am such a proud mama. I love you little man.

Cayman Islands Part II

So I know I have had a picture overload lately but I guess that's what happens when you go on vacation for 2 weeks. So many fun pictures to share. We got to take family pictures while we were in Grand Cayman and they turned out so darling. We also were able to go swim with the stingray in stingray city, at a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. We went to the turtle farm and were able to hold some turtles, Hayden wasn't sure what we were making him touch. We went to HELL, and it is what you would picture Hell to look like, it's black volcanic rock super UGLY and extremely HOT. We have now been to HELL and back! Glad we made it :D The Botanic Gardens were gorgeous, that is where we saw the BLUE Iguanas. We got to hold some starfish that we found in the ocean out at RUM POINT. I am ready to go back!!! We had so much fun and Hayden did so awesome he slept almost every flight the entire time and was super good in Grand Cayman especially being in the sun almost all day every day. He didn't even get burned at all we used 100 SPF WOW who knew that stuff existed and it definitely works. Here are some pictures of our adventure!

Papa was the stroller pusher, we went when Tyler and Craig had gone home. It was gravel the entire way through the park so we needed a STRONG man to do the job!

When these plants die they start to look like the bottom half of it and while alive they start out fully like the top half. As they die they fold down super weird.

There is a definite difference between the blue and green this one doesn't have as big of spiny thing on it's back and the color of course and this one has black feet the other one doesn't. Also the Green Iguana's wont let you get very close whereas the blue one's didn't startle as easy.

These little buggars where seriously seen by the Hundreds. You never walked along the sidewalk without seeing at least one every couple steps. They came in every size this is about the biggest and the smallest we saw was probably the length of a house key.

We found these starfish while snorkeling. Brought them back to where everyone was and held them and took pictures!

Mother's Day

A little late, but Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers. Being a first time mother here I don't know how some of you do it with more than one child. It is fun, exciting, sad, frustrating, etc. but even with the hard days it is still so worth it. I wouldn't trade anything in this world for my little Hayden. Being a mommy has been such a fun blessing. I can't believe Heavenly Father trusts me with his little one, but boy am I so grateful he does. I love being a mommy! I am so thankful for my mommy as well, she has been such an example to me and I just love her so much. My sister nicole has also been such an example she is such a great mommy of two little boys. Sometimes I don't know how she does it and is still alive. She is so patient and loving I hope someday that I will be able to be a great mommy like my mom and sister.

Hayden is a silly little boy, he isn't a huge fan of binky's which can sometimes be a pain but for the most part we don't really need them. This is what he does when we put a binky in his mouth.

This lovely sound is what we get to wake up to every morning, He kicks his little legs up in the air and pounds them down on his bed, thump thump thump is what we wake up to. He does it constantly even when he is just laying on the floor as you can see. Don't you think it would hurt your heals?

Easter 2011

So Hayden is one LUCKY little boy. He had the amazing opportunity of spending his FIRST easter in GRAND CAYMAN!! We arrived in Grand Cayman 1 day before easter, and we took cute little easter baskets with us, along with candy. It was fun the easter bunny hid the eggs and baskets around the condo that we were staying in so that my nephew link could go find them all!! So much fun what an amazing easter. So this was mine and Tyler's third easter being married. Our first easter we spent in our first little apartment, our second was in California with Tyler's mom, and this one was in Grand Cayman, man are we lucky or what!! The Easter Bunny brought me sunglasses, tyler an underwater camera, and Hayden got a swim floaty, an outfit and some water toys. What a great easter spent in the beautiful sunshine, with family in the caribbean. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Also a little about the first few days of our trip. We left for Grand Cayman on Friday April 22 around 6:30 A.M. Our flight left SLC at 9:30, and we landed in Atlanta Georgia, where we spent the night. We left the next morning for Grand Cayman. We arrived in Grand Cayman around noon on Saturday April 23. We were staying in a condo, so that afternoon we went to Hard Rock for lunch and then we hit the grocery store. Oh my goodness I never knew food could be so expensive for so little. We came home and went swimming, let it begin! Sunday, my parents brother al, and sister kelsey went to church, while craig and nicole and tyler and I and all the kiddos stayed home. We walked along the beach and sat with our feet in the pool. We cooked pasta for dinner and it was delicious. Monday we went to the beach, and then we went swimming in the pool. We went to a little restaurant called Coconut Joe's for dinner, I think the food was just as good as the vacations itself. (well almost)

4 months

Hayden is 4 months old today!! We are celebrating by going to Rum Point in Grand Cayman. Hayden has been getting so chunky lately. He has rolls everywhere it is so adorable. His little cheeks are so squishy and I just can't get enough of them. He talks and coos like crazy and LOVES attention. If you are giving him your full attention he is super happy but when you leave him alone he gets mad at you. He is starting to get more of a personality. He laughs all the time, and is super chill. He loves to play with his toys and sticks everything in his mouth. He has started drooling like crazy but we think it's because he is teething. We sure love our little chubba bubba.

Today is a GREAT day. Tyler has been working Graveyard shifts for a year now, and it has been so hard on the both of us. Graveyard shifts are HORRIBLE. Tyler has been applying for all of the Day shifts at USSynthetic that make about as much as he is currently making. We have been dissappointed multiple times, until today. That's right today we got the news that our lives will be back to normal. Tyler is going to be working the day shift come next week. I can't say how thankful I am, my prayers have been answered. I am so Happy to finally have Tyler back, we will be able to do things like we used to and spend more time together. Way to go Ty I am so proud of you!

I love conference..Great talks Love President Monson. Conference is a little bit different when you have a baby...his naps just happened to end at the beginning of the second session so he was awake the entire time and very much awake making all sorts of noises, very hard to listen but still what I heard was good. Also another great thing about conference is the delicious food...Crepes, hashbrowns so yummy!

This is how we have to take baths now, no more little baby tubs. Hayden loves to take baths and loves to splash and kick his legs. The other day while taking a bath in our little baby bath chair he put his feet on the bar in front of him and kicked his legs tipping the back end of the chair backwards...luckily he didn't launch himself into the water, this meant no more baby bath chair... We now take big boy baths and he LOVES it.

Just a little update...we only have 19 days until we leave for our vacation...I have started getting things together and it is so much fun, getting me super excited. Monday night we are going to test out our snorkel gear at the swimming pool, I cannot wait!

I am dying here. I cannot wait for spring and warm sunny weather. I want to take Hayden on more walks outside, he loves being outside the few times it has been warm enough to go out. 39 Day Challenge

Alright so it begins.... I am now most definitely needing to get rid of the extra baby weight and some that wasn't baby weight. My family is doing the HCG diet, how horrible yes I know I have done it once before. Although it makes the weight come off :D Seeing as I am nursing I am not allowed to do this diet, so here comes my weakness. I LOVE sweets, anything that has sugar is wonderful. The things I am going to miss the most are, PIZZA HUT PIZZA , CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES, GUMMIES, CHOCOLATE (any kind) So the part about the 39 days is because we have 39 days to lose the desired weight before our family vacation!! It's swimsuit season, and no one wants to look like a white whale during swim suit season. So for now wish me luck that I will be able to with hold the desire to eat my favorites! I will be strong.

He did such an amazing job, the blessing couldn't have been more perfect. He sure is our sweet little angel sent from Heaven. He brings so much LOVE, JOY, and HAPPINESS into our home it's unbelievable. It is so precious to see Ty with Hayden, he loves him so much and is so protective of him and it's adorable, what a GREAT daddy he is. I knew that when I met Tyler he was going to be an amazing father someday. I couldn't have asked for a better family. I love our new little family and it is so much fun. We are so blessed to have so much family that loves and cares about us, thank you so much for all of your love and support. It was a neat little surprise Tylers mom was able to come in from San Diego for the blessing. She was only here for a little less than 48 hours but it sure meant a lot to have her here, and we are so glad that she was able to see Hayden for the first time since he was born.
                Hayden: You have so many people in your life that love and care about you more than anything else. You have parents who would do anything just to make sure that you are alright and taken care of. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect little boy. You are truely the LIGHT of our lives. You have already been such a blessing to us. You couldn't have come at a more perfect time. You have the most adorable smile in the world, not to mention the BIGGEST. New Things

Hayden is 2 months old. He is just growing like crazy. Here he is at 2 months, he does still have hair like he did when he was born it has lightened quite a bit, and in this picture it is blending in with the couch so he looks bald.

New things this month:

He likes to "pray" as you can see in this picture, this is how we find his hands almost all day every day. Once they reach this position they make their way into his mouth.
He loves to kick his legs out straight, while he is eating, bathing,laying on the floor and especially when he is being burped.
He still hates being interrupted from eating to be burped, he screams at me and kicks his legs straight, so he doesn't have to sit.
He loves talking to people
He stares INTENTLY while you talk to him
He loves laying on the floor mat and playing with the dangling toys
He loves his mobile that hangs above his crib, huge smiles everytime it gets turned on!
He laughs in his sleep
I believe he has nightmares, he occasionally wakes up for no reason screaming bloody murder

We went to Haydens 2 month check today and he is doing great. Ha is currently 10 lbs 13 oz, 23 1/4 in long. He is in the 40% for weight and 75% for length and head. He also got his first 3 shots and an oral immunization today. He was such a trooper he only cried for about 5 seconds until I picked him up then he stopped crying. Love my little man and can't believe how tough he is.

Valentine's Day

My parents had a valentines dinner party for our whole family and it was so much fun!! We all got great gifts and we played Bingo, and another game where you roll the dice and if you get a certain number or doubles you get to open a present. All the presents in the middle were socks! We played this game at Christmas too, so now we all Valentines' and Christmas socks.

Hayden is getting so big I can't hardly believe it.

WOW how life has changed the last 4 weeks. I cannot belive that Hayden is already 4 weeks old, time is going by way too quickly. He has gotten so big i can't even believe it. We had his 2 week appointment and he was above his birth weight by 6 oz. Way to go Hayden!! He is eating like a champ and we are definitely getting used to having him around and can't imagine life without him. He is an amazing little boy,, he only cries when he is hungry. He has been cooing, and smiling at us. He is getting so stinkin strong, he picks his head up constantly and can hold it up for a couple of seconds. His hair is thinning out on the sides and front, and it has gotten a lot lighter since he was born. We are still wearing newborn clothes and starting to transfer to 0-3 month clothes that drown him. He is built exactly like his daddy, short legs long torso and big hands. He has my skin tone and the same dimple in his chin. He is definitely filling out, his little fingers and legs are getting some chub and its adorable

We had the opportunity to have Hayden's newborn pictures taken by Michelle Kemp (a.k.a. Rusty Bucket Photography) and she did an amazing job. We are so very pleased with the work that she does and wouldn't choose anyone else to capture these precious moments in our lives. Thank you so much Michelle for sharing your amazing talent with us! Also an update on our sweet little Hayden.. He is such an amazing baby. He is so good, rarely cries except when he is hungry or wets/poops through his clothes. He hates to be burped, or to be interrupted in the middle of a feeding. He is an amazing sleeper, and gets up about every 3 hours sometimes longer to eat each night. He has recently been making a little bit more noise (cooing, not a lot but an occasional sound here and there) and he has also been smiling a lot more lately, sometimes we can even get him to smile. When Hayden was one week old we took a little trip down to Idaho Falls with my parents and my sister Kelsey. She had recently returned from her mission and hadn't seen our grandparents since she left. I decided to take Hayden to go see them as well. Here are a few pictures of our excursion.

It was so neat to be able to take Hayden to meet his Great Grandparents.

2010 was quite the year for Tyler and I. Our year in review

We have had so much fun with Hayden over the past few days. It has definitely changed a lot of things around our house. Sleep, we are not quite sure what that is and clean outfits on baby for more than an hour or two is great!! He has been doing really well since we got home he wakes up about 3-4 times a night when he decides he is hungry, or when he pee's all the way through his clothes and blankets, that doesn't make him too happy either. We had a rough night friday night, he decided his tummy didn't feel too good and so he didn't go to sleep till about 5:30 a.m. he wouldn't let you put him down. Luckily we were staying at my mom's so we took turns. My mom took her shift, then me, and then tyler until about 5:30 when he finally fell asleep till about 8:30 when it was time to eat again :D . Happy 2011 was celebrated with a kiss and crying baby because of an upset tummy, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. We also gave Hayden his first bath and he did NOT like it. Part of it could have been he was super hungry but he cried the entire time and it made me so sad.

Hayden Tyler Cahoon was born December 28th at 12:44 A.M. He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and is 20 inches long. We are both doing great and were able to come home tonight. We love him so much and just can't get enough. Here are a few pictures, definitely more will come along with how things went!

Well, we didn't get our little guy for Christmas this year but we still had an amazing Christmas. Tylers' mom was able to come up and spend Christmas with us. The Polar Express

So there is this family in Lindon that I have mentioned before that has a train that you can ride and it goes through their yards, they have it at Halloween and Christmas time. We went as a family tonight and it is so neat and such a fun experience. They have music from the polar express playing while you ride along with scenes set up along the path from the movie, until you stop at the North Pole. We got to visit Santa at the North Pole, then left and were able to listen to music about Christ and see pictures of him throughout his life. If you have never been it is a fun family activity. Tyler wasn't able to go with us because we had lots going on today and he hadn't gotten any sleep, so we missed him.

Welcome Home Sister Ward

We have had a great week so far. My sister Kelsey was serving a mission in Oakland California and Came home Wednesday. We were able to go pick her up from the airport and it was so neat to see her again after 19 months. Welcome Home Kelsey, were glad your back!!

There she is!!! She stood at the top of the stairs and poked her head down several times before walking down the stairs,to make sure we were there. We all started crying when we saw her!

The whole family is together again until alex leaves in the summer of 2011.

We had a great American dish, roast, mashed potatoes,homemade rolls. Kelsey wanted a good home cooked meal, instead of beans and rice and tortillas. Were so glad your back kels!

Wow I can't believe Ty is 25, well he will be this Thursday December 16th. We had a birthday celebration for him tonight because of all of the upcoming events this next week. He chose Taco Salad and German Chocolate Cake for his birthday dinner. It was very delicious. My family and Tyler's Dad were able to come join in on the Birthday Celebration. Tyler got some nice things.. My family all went in on a Desk that he has been wanting and very much needed for school work, and then an outfit from me and baby. (*we went in on the desk also..it's a nice desk!) Can't wait to get it set up. It was a very fun evening. We also were had fun making posters and signs for Kelsey who is coming home this wednesday. Hooray can't hardly believe that it has been 19 months and she will be home in 2 1/2 days that is so crazy. So many fun events.

Work Christmas Party

Friday night was the annual USSynthetic Christmas party. We finally got to go this year along with the rest of my family. My dad, brother, brother-in-law and ty all work there, so much fun! It was fun to get dressed up for a night to go enjoy some fun entertainment. They served salad,rolls,turkey w/rice and veggies and then a mint chocolate cake or a pineapple/ mango cake. The entertainment for the evening was performed by a band called Local Grown, they were surprisingly really good. They also had a surprise gues joining them Ryan Shupe, from Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband. It was a very fun evening. The MC was Buddah from Fox 13 news and he was absolutely hilarous. They also put every employee's name into a bowl and drew out names and had people play the games from minute to win it, sadly none of our family got their names drawn but it was still super hilarious to watch those people try to complete the tasks.

Alright so yes I know this is a horrible horrible picture of my chubby/fat feet but I had to show everyone what an amazing job tyler did at painting my toe nails. My feet have started retaining water and it sucks if i stand for too long or if they aren't up they get super fat and it's so sad. One of the lovely joys of being pregnant. Last night we had a mani/pedi night and watched Fred Clause. It was so much fun. He trimmed my toe nails and finger nails and then painted my toenails and then massaged lotion on my feet and hands/arms! What an amazing husband. I kind of feel bad because I have a foot phobia and I hate feet, he always wants me to rub them but it just gags me. Our trade last night, I made him dinner and rubbed his back while he painted and massaged my hands/feet! I love you ty, you are the greatest!

Hair Dresser

So my husband is the greatest! I have been so exhausted lately and so he has been my own personal hair dresser!! Saturday and Sunday he blew my hair dry and then straightened it. Although i didn't get any pictures, because he wouldn't let me. And then I forgot to take a picture of my hair afterward. It looked good I didn't even need to fix it. :D I'm thinking I could get used to that!

baby update

Alright so it's been a little while since I have said anything new about baby besides showers. Lets see I have been having lots of contractions which are making me dialate and efface, I am currently about a 1 1/2 and 80% effaced and at a 0-1 station which means the babie's head is extremely low. She said she had a hard time checking what i was measuring at because she couldn't reach my cervix to check because the babies head was too low. So i'm hoping that means we will have a baby soon? Maybe. Anyway lots of contractions and definitely cramping and pain, all come with this part of pregnancy i know, i'm just ready for my reward now!! He still needs to continue growing she said he is about 6 lbs so he is just a little tyke if that is correct. I am starting to get nervous about actually giving birth and i'm starting to panic about whether or not I will know when i'm in labor. We are definitely all ready for him to come, I feel so much more prepared now than i did a week ago. I finished buying those last minute things that you need and were set! Hospital bag ready and car seat in car! So exciting, I can't wait to meet him.

Ward/Ockerman Baby Shower

There are two posts so keep reading!! So while we were up in Idaho this past week, my cousins,mom,sister,and aunt threw me a baby shower. It was Saturday the 27th. All of my dad's family and my mom's family live in Idaho so it was fun to get everyone together. There was so much good food to eat and delicious desserts. We played a couple of games. One of the games we played was Baby Trivia with super hard questions, so it was funny to see. I'm going to be a horrible mother because I only got 1 out of 10 correct, although they weren't really things you need to know so much as interesting facts. Another game we played was my cousin shoved a whole bunch of baby socks into a jar, and everyone had to guess how many were in the jar. Then we played the game where you have a whole bunch of items on a tray and someone walks around with the tray and you have to see how many items you remember. And then we played a game where everyone had to rip off however many sheets of toilet paper they thought was the correct size around my stomache. It was pretty funny to see how many people pulled off and how many it actually was. So much fun Thank you so much for planning it, and for everyone that came!! I got a ton of GREAT gifts and now we feel so much more prepared for our little man to come join us.

This was an amazing surprise that made me cry. My sister Kelsey that is on her mission doesn't come home for another 17 days and couldn't make it to the baby shower so she sent my mom a package with a this baby outfit and the sweetest card. And of course my mom made me open it first. What a great surprise. Wish she could have been there in person.

Thanksgiving-Idaho

We went to Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving this year, to spend it with my dad's family. There was lots of good food and family to spend the holiday with. Here are a few pictures.

My cousin Lindsey invited my mom, sister, grandma and I over to her house to make a cute little Christmas decoration. It was fun, I haven't made anything for a long time. We made cute Christmas trees and they turned out super cute.

Wisdom Teeth

Oh boy does this bring back memories i am glad are over.. Yesterday tyler got his wisdom teeth out, yes just barely. He didn't have them when he left on his mission and then yes of course they came in oh joy. He has been saying that they have been hurting really bad since about last summer but we didn't have dental insurance to help cover the cost, so we weren't able to get them done. So we had our dentist do them yesterday, oh what an amazing dentist he is. They gave Tyler some pills he took before the surgery to help him sleep and then they gave him a gas mask. He said he didn't remember a thing (which is great)!! He doesn't remember anything from yesterday, they have him on some sweet pain killers along with steroid pills to help him not swell which I believe has actually helped quite immensely, so far so good not really any swelling. And I am sorry to say we don't really have any funny stories of things that he did, I wish I did. He did ask if he could keep his teeth which is disgusting but the doctor had to give them to him because he asked. SO GROSS, he says he doesn't even remember asking to keep them. Thank goodness for modern medicine!!
